Our Work

CKS Foundation creates learning pathways that extend beyond the classroom. We deliver programs in education, digital literacy, English fluency, skill development, performing arts, and career counselling—tailored to the diverse needs of children, youth, and adults in underserved communities.

Working across urban and rural settings, our centers serve as hubs for learning, mentorship, and opportunity. Each initiative is designed to build confidence, practical skills, and readiness for further education or employment, while strengthening local communities from within.

Delhi

Our flagship CKS Foundation Education Center is located in MMTC Housing Colony, New Delhi, serving students from Adhchini, Begumpur, and surrounding communities. The center operates as a hub for school-based academic support, arts education, digital literacy, and holistic learning for children and youth, offering a holistic, future-ready learning environment.

Beyond academics, the Delhi Center plays a pivotal role in the foundation’s broader mission—developing curriculum, training teachers, and offering guidance to our rural centers in Uttarakhand. It also conducts career counselling sessions, helping students explore subject choices, college options, vocational pathways, and employment opportunities—especially critical for those from underexposed backgrounds.

Each year, the Delhi Center empowers hundreds of students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue their dreams, serving as a dynamic community space for learning, mentoring, and opportunity.

Uttarakhand

CKS Foundation’s work in Uttarakhand began in 2013, responding to the urgent need for education access in flood-affected and underserved regions of Rudraprayag and Chamoli. Today, the Foundation operates a network of six Education and E-Learning Centers across remote villages and hamlets, bringing structured academic support, digital literacy, skill-building, and lifelong learning opportunities directly to rural communities. Each center serves as a vital hub—empowering children, youth, and adults with the tools to pursue education, employment, and economic resilience, while reducing migration and bridging the digital divide in some of the state’s most challenging terrains. These centers have become spaces of community interest, bringing residents together and functioning as cyber hubs and informal cafés, where villagers can comfortably complete online tasks such as filling forms and accessing essential digital services.

Partnership with NIIT Foundation

CKS Foundation’s partnership with NIIT Foundation is integral to delivering high-quality, industry-aligned education across its centers. Through this collaboration, NIIT Foundation provides curriculum expertise, digital learning resources, and technical support that enhance both classroom and e-learning experiences at CKS Foundation’s Delhi and Uttarakhand centers.

A key component of this partnership is NIIT Foundation’s Training of Trainers (TOT) program, which has helped build the capacity of CKS Foundation’s teaching staff through specialized workshops, upskilling, and pedagogical training. This ensures that educators are equipped to deliver technology-enabled, learner-centerd instruction tailored to the needs of underserved communities.

Together, CKS Foundation and NIIT Foundation have developed and implemented Basic and Advanced Computer Courses, designed to build foundational digital literacy and practical IT skills among students. To date, over 850 students have successfully completed these certified computer courses across the Delhi Education Center and the network of E-Learning Centers in Uttarakhand—many becoming the first in their families to gain digital credentials.

This partnership strengthens CKS Foundation’s mission to bridge the digital divide by providing equitable access to technology, empowering students with skills for higher education and employment, and building community-wide digital capacity in some of India’s most remote and underserved regions.

Knowledge Projects

Project Vidyarthi

CKS Foundation links its curriculum to the school calendar, providing learning solutions for students to succeed in government-run classrooms, competitive and entrance exams. Project Vidyarthi also focuses on out-of-the-box thinking approaches to textbook concepts by using tools like art, films, theatre, digital, experiential and experiment-based tools. Visiting faculty, interactive sessions with thought-leaders and playful engagement via quizzes, puzzles and storytelling.

All CKS Foundation students receive individualised attention and support continues well after they pass Class 12, enter college or get their first jobs.

Project Udaan

Arts, crafts and performance are a key component of our curriculum and have a clear clink to student retention at our centers. Over the years, CKS Foundation has conducted workshops with theatre, dance and art workshops professionals for students of all age-groups. Some of these workshops have also helped our students develop craft skills and exhibit their work at annual festivals and fairs.

In 2021 CKS Foundation has taken on full-time teachers who use theatre in the classroom to enhance learning in social studies for junior classes and history, civics and political science for senior classes.

Project Poshan

Nutrition is an essential component of our free-of-cost education services. Daily, home-cooked and nutritious meals are provided to students at lunchtime. This program has shown a marked improvement in our students well-being and also helped them stay enrolled in our centers.

Conservation & Service Projects

Clean, Green & Sustainable Futures

Conservation is at the heart of CKS Foundation’s threefold cause, whose work in Uttarakhand began on the heels of the 2013 flood-disaster. Operating in this environmentally-fragile Himalayan region comes with responsibility towards its protection. All CKSF students & staff are motivated to take an active role through cleanliness drives & sustainability programs.

In the urban, concrete jungles of Delhi, air pollution and dwindling green-cover is a real & present threat to our future generations. CKS Foundation Delhi’s students take on annual tree-planting and green missions coinciding with World Environment Day. In the classroom, teachers moderate discussion & debate around themes of sustainability, raising our students’ consciousness about climate change.

Project Swasthya

Project Swasthya is a healthcare project focussed on low-income communities with poor access to medical resources, especially for women & children. CKS Foundation provides financial assistance and helps secure medicines, diagnostic tests and treatment at top hospitals like Safdarjang, Madan Mohan Malviya & Ram Manohar Lohia Hospitals.

In 2020, we did a broad-based mask distribution & Covid19 awareness drive in the Chandranagar area.

Relief Work

CKS Foundation is dedicated to the welfare & development each of our communities connected through our Education Centres. In times of crisis, such as the 2013 floods in Uttarakhand, the devastating fire of 2017 in Balmiki Basti of Begumpur or the Covid19 lockdown in 2020, CKS Foundation has provided financial aid and relief materials to those affected.
